Dr. Rui Feng

Founder, CEO and DirectorRui Feng is a successful entrepreneur, explorer, and mine builder with over 25 years of global mining industry experience. His passion for discovery has led him to explore and acquire mineral opportunities worldwide. He was integral in discovering Jinshan Gold’s CSH Gold Mine in China in 2002, which was acquired by China Gold International. Dr. Feng founded Silvercorp in 2003 by acquiring early-stage properties in China. Through discovery and development, Silvercorp has become one of the most profitable Canadian mining companies, with multiple mines in China. As CEO of New Pacific Metals, Dr. Feng led the company to Bolivia in 2017 and acquired the Silver Sand project which has recently led to a significant discovery. In addition to delivering value to employees and shareholders through discovery and development, Dr. Feng also believes a sustainable operation requires innovation and more effective management. He pioneered a digital information management tool for Silvercorp’s mines, which has contributed to improved organizational performance and operational profitability. Dr. Feng obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geology in China, his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 1992, and received a Post-Doctorial fellowship from the National Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada in 1992. Dr. Feng supports many community and social causes through contributions made personally and through the actions of the companies he leads.
CFOJalen Yuan is a professional accountant with over sixteen years of diverse international experience in financial reporting, auditing, internal control, and accounting. Mr. Yuan is a member of Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (“CPA, CA – BC”). Aside from his duty for the company, Mr. Yuan has also been appointed as chief staff officer at Silvercorp Metals Inc. recently where he previously served as financial controller for over fourteen years. Prior to joining the mining industry, Mr. Yuan had three years audit experience with Grant Thornton LLP where he focused on audits of financial information and internal controls for Canadian companies. Mr. Yuan has a Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University, Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Tongji University, China.

Vice President, ExplorationAlex Zhang is a professional geoscientist registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). With more than 30 years of experience in mineral exploration, Mr. Zhang has brought his range of technical and managerial skills to work on major gold and silver-lead-zinc polymetallic projects in China, Canada, and Bolivia with Eldorado Gold, Afcan Mining, Sino Gold, Silvercorp and New Pacific Metals, supervising activities from exploration and development to production. His roles have included senior exploration geologist, senior resource geologist, exploration manager chief geologist, and vice president of exploration. Mr. Zhang received his M.Eng. in mineral exploration from the China University of Mining and Technology and his M.Sc.in mineral exploration from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.

Carolina has over 15 years of experience in the resource sector as a liaison between Governments, Corporations, Mining subsidiaries and Investors, with extensive experience in government relations and global affairs. She was a former Director of several NGOs promoting and engaging Latin-American business and culture strengths. Fluent in English and Spanish. Born and raised in Bolivia. Holds a global designation in International Trade Business and a Diploma in Business Management and International Commerce from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Salman has over 35 years of experience in exploration and mining finance. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Salman Capital Inc. and Salman Partners Inc. At Salman Partners Inc., he raised over $20 billion for over 400 exploration and mining companies. Previously, Mr. Salman held positions with Nesbitt Thomson, subsequently acquired by the Bank of Montreal (“BMO”), where he was an Executive Vice-President and a Director. Mr. Salman was instrumental in forming the mining team at Nesbitt Thomson and its mining conference in the early 1990’s, which subsequently became the BMO Mining and Metals Conference. He is the Chairman Emeritus of the Vancouver Public Library Foundation. Formerly, he acted as the Chairman of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and a director or chairman of numerous charities. Mr. Salman was the recipient of the 2016 Murray Pezim Award in recognition of his career in Canadian mining finance and was inducted to the Cambridge House Resource Hall of Fame in 2018. He was appointed to the Order of Canada for his contributions to mining exploration and for his generous philanthropy and community activism. Mr. Salman is an Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Singapore and received the Public Service Star from the Office of the President of Singapore in 2021. He served with the United States Marine Corps and is a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Salman received an MBA from the University of Hartford.

DirectorMr. Kong most recently served as a partner of Ernst & Young from 2005 to 2010. He previously served as a partner of Ellis Foster, Chartered Professional Accountants of Vancouver, British Columbia from 1982 to 2004. His professional practice focused on serving Canadian public companies doing business in China and Chinese public companies listed on the North American stock exchanges. Currently, Mr. Kong is a director of Silvercorp Metals Inc., GoldMining Inc., and Uranium Energy Corp.
The Honourable Jack Austin
P.C., Q.C., B.A., LL.B., LL.M., Doc: Soc. Sci.
The Honourable Jack Austin has over 40 years of experience in law, business, public service and politics. Mr. Austin has had a diversified career and has expertise in cross-cultural communications and business development. He has been a barrister and solicitor in the Province of British Columbia since 1958, practiced law for over 20 years and served as legal counsel to various corporations.
Mr. Austin served as a senator in the Senate of Canada, representing British Columbia from August 1975 to March 2007. Mr. Austin served in the Cabinets of each of Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Martin.
Since May 2008, Mr. Austin has served as a director and Chairman of New Pacific. Mr. Austin was a director and Chairman of Naikun Wind Energy Group Inc. from April 1989 to December 2003 and a director of Allied Pacific Properties & Hotels Inc. from May 1996 to December 2003. Mr. Austin was also a director of Act 360 Solutions Ltd. from May 2003 to December 2003, a director of China Education Resources Inc. from July 2000 to December 2003 and director and President of Austpro Energy Corporation from November 1990 to December 2003. Each of these companies was listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mr. Austin obtained a degree in Economics (B.A.) in 1954 and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in 1955 from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 1957 from the Harvard Law School in International Trade Law.
